I just got the below email which states our favorite band will be at end of the road this year, I went last year and cant recommend it enough, I'll be going I imagine Nic and Rhiannon will to ? who knows, there may even be a performance from Tank Cat if we're really lucky!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Friends,
We are super excited to share with you the first bunch of bands confirmed for End of the Road in September, which will be officially announced next week, so you're the first ones to know.
The bands are:
Mercury Rev, Micah P Hinson, Mountain Goats, Sun Kil Moon / Mark Kozelek, Two Gallants, Jeffrey Lewis, Jason Molina, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Bob Log III, The Wave Pictures and Friska Viljor.
We feel that all these amazing artists and bands are a great start for what's to come and we believe this year is gonna be a sell-out, wohooo! And don't worry - we're keeping the capacity at the intimate number of 5,000.
We look forward to seeing you in September!
Cheers,
Simon & Sofia

I can't wait. It'll be so great.
Tank Cat should be playing again, maybe Jack FE and who knows what else.
I can't wait.
Everyone on here should go, I can't recommend it enough. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

I'd like to spoon with you nic...but if granfaloon has already done me then we'd probably just be living a lie anyway.

I was told about this a few weeks ago - excellent news!
I read an interview with jeff lewis online after the last fest and it made me think he may not have been that up for playing again this year - very pleased that he is tho.
Has anyone checked out Friska Viljor as well? They're a pretty fun band.
Just need Herman Dune to play as well now, their small stage show last year was the most fun festival performance I've ever seen. |

Yes!!!
That Herman Dune show on the Sunday night was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Maybe the best.
That weekend was the best of the year, even beating on where I saw Lou Reed on the Saturday and played a show with Kimya Dawson on the Sunday! :O _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

He seemed fairly into it at the time, but the fact that they got supplied tents but no sleeping bags must have been pretty harsh. I remember Dave wandering around wearing about 6 layers, inside a sheet. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Hmm - I just checked the website and for some reason it's been taken down apart from a front page.
It's a print magazine, but they have pdf's of the latest issue on their site, I think I've got a copy of it somewhere so I'll try and post it up when I find it. |
