I thought the Culture Show segment was OK, but the reporter was a bit of a tosser and didn't get beyond the Jeff-by-numbers appproach that was presumably in his brief. I was glad to see my good self featured as well, handing over money at the merchandising stall and then looking intelligent and glamorous while Jeff played a tune. I thought Jeff came out of it really well, though, although I thought (as I thought at the time) that those jeans could do with a wash...

I really didn't like it. The reporter was so smarmy and patronising, at the end he was like "yeah, totally, I think there might be something in this". I just thought it was totally demeaning and he didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Also the complete shock at their DIY ethic. It's not so wacky.

I did see myself a few times though.

Have to agree with the concensus that the Culture Show piece was pretty poor, but I guess worth watching. As other people have said if you didn't know anything about Jeff you probably wouldn't be rushing out to find his stuff. Mind, apart from Mark Kermode and the occaisonal good band the Culture Show is pretty crap - interesting subject matter sometimes but terrible presenters. I'd caught the end of it the week before and saw the trailer for Jeff and thought it'd be worth bringing to peoples attention
