Well here we are again, many months after we all thought that the Jeff Lewis world cup 2006 had come to an end, and as many of Jeff songs are in various studios around the world training for the 'Jeff Lewis European Championship' qualifiers which lie only around the corner the powers that be have encountered a problem.

Allow me to recap;

after several months and many rounds of head to head voting 80 songs were whittled down to just 2, these 2 songs were 'the Chelsea hotel oral sex song' and ' the east river'
and so was that our 2 brave boys that grew up in the heady rough and tumble days of the first album pulled on they're gloves and prepared to go toe to toe one last time just as they had done when they were kids, but this time something was different and each of them knew it they were considered past there prime by some for others this just wasn't the title decider that they’d been hoping for.
Even stepping in to the ring they could hear the mutterings of the crowd all around them
"I feel Cheated " cried an outraged Jack fe

"i think i prefer shoot the head kill the ghoul" responded joelLeTigre

and so it went on, the blows to their pride hitting deeper and harder than anything their opponent across the canvas could muster

faster and faster they seemed to be circling each other almost running in a vain attempt to escape the voices leaping and leering at them more and more,

"Chelsea. It's probably not his best song...I didn't think East River would make it to the final" proclaimed a nonchalant fabalbert

magical moment ............. hooked instantly............... a particular place in my affection.

came the beautiful words of support from their fans but they were seemingly lost in a torrid of abuse.

The Chelsea hotel oral sex song got angry hitting harder and harder into east river like he suddenly had something to prove east river was cut and bleeding badly as he leant way back against the ropes desperately trying to a place where 'Chelsea' couldn't reach him.

I had seen enough. I never started this competition out of blood lust. I reached for the towel out of the east rivers corner and held it high above my head, a tear drop filling my eye as I trembled to keep it in wishing it hadn't come to this, wishing I didn't have to throw the towel in for my good friend, knowing what it would do to the sprit of this proud fighter

and then in that moments hesitation a hand ripped through the Smokey tension grabbing me by the wrist i whirled around to see a man a rugged bearded man with calm in his eyes

"You should just keep this open, and see if East River ever takes the lead!"

He spoke slowly and softly and in his gentle Scottish voice I found hope
The east river saw it too and in the moment that 'Chelsea' had been distracted by the sight of Will Oldham standing at the side of the ring waving a towel he struck, Chelsea was caught by surprise and had all but punched himself out, stumbling backward arms flailing was the best he could respond now it was the east rivers time to shine and with every beat he one back a fan punching until he could punch no more, but he was still hurting Chelsea had had a good head start on him and here he came again rising to his feet for one last attack east river could do nothing but watch his tank was long empty and he had been running on nothing but adrenalin and emotion suddenly a flash of light drew east rivers eye to a door opening at the back of the hall and as he squinted through the tears and the blood he saw his uncle, a man that had always been there for him, since birth, in every town he'd been to he'd always had his uncle with him, his uncle Jack.

Jack didn't even have to say the words, east river knew it any way, Jack believed in him. he looked back to where myself and Kieron where standing, saw the anxiety on our faces pleading with him to get up and remembered the fight . with his uncles love firmly in his heart, East rose to meet his opponent as he staggered ever nearer. Neither fighter able to lift his fists through sheer exhaustion, they fell into each other in the middle of the ring with a slap of sweating flesh grunting and groaning at each other their only weapons left and there they collapsed, a dead heat

And so it was the grand final was tied

which was probably the best out come as no one it seemed would have been happy with either winning it
and so after much debate on how to settle this its come to a penalty shoot out between these 4 songs chosen by Uncle Jack himself

SO ...My advice, listen to all 4 songs before you decide

Happy Voting

Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror is 3-0 up at the minute?? Im not disagreeing with that, I voted for it myself but why did it lose 6-2 to chelsea hotel in round 6 if we've all decided its our favourite?! lol

The last time I heard Arrow on my car, i was blown away... It was one of those oh-my-god-you-cannot-top-that kind of feeling. It was very, very loud too...

For some reason youv'e reminded me of the single for 'instant karma' the john lennon song which I have on vinyl on side A the middle of the record is just white with the words PLAY LOUD in black, the b side is a yoko song (I forget what) and it says PLAY QUIET in small leters.

Unrelated but I thought Id share that

i had to go for chelsea hotel, i tried to convince myself that i prefer east river but i just couldn't do it. Think its probably because Chelsea hotel oral sex song was the song that got me into jeff in the first place.

which version of arrow is it in the final? i've got two different ones, one on "it's the ones . . ." and one on "songs from austin."

yeah, i have a couple of flaming lips cds, and they all say,"play it loud".
i should put a sticker on my own stuff too, it's a règle d'or, the louder you play messy music, the better it sounds!
