Well, here we are. after a few months of voting we have come to our final round.
the Winner of this Jeff lewis world cup and the peoples favorite has come down to a battle between 2 songs off of Jeffs First Album.
The Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song path to the final started with a battle against 'Flood' in round 1. Next came Alphabet in round 2 before entering round 3 which was our group stage. Chelsea hotel came through all of these unscathed before geting stuck in to the 'big boys' in the later rounds, knocking our texas, Back when I was 4 and Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror in rounds 4.5 & 6 respectively.
The East River
also took on and beat some tough opponants getting to the final. namely, Swamp Thing (the Schwervon Cover), Springtime, The Complete History Of Jeff's Sexual Conquests - Volume 1, Heavy Heart & No LSD Tonight.
Now all that remains is for me to advice you for one last time to listen to both tracks before you ake up your mind
Happy Voting _________________

This was actually one of the easiest rounds.
I feel cheated! _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

I really do love East River, but I do prefer Chelsea Hotel.
If this was Williamsburg Will Oldham Horror on the other hand... _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Same, although they both mean quite a lot to me.
I didn't think anything could beat Chelsea. It's probably not his best song, but the story behind it is too beautiful to leave.
I didn't think East River would make it to the final, not that I'm complaining. _________________ Life is too short to refrain from eating jam out of the jar |

I made my vote, it was kind of an easy choice. What happens to the winner then? Does i get a cup and has a party? |

A bit of a resurgence for east river but I fear it may be to little to late - you never know though - at the time of posting the final has had 80 views and 12 votes there must be people holding back!!! _________________

probably quite a few of those views are me, hoping that the east river will launch an unlikely, floyd landis like recovery. |

Probably like a lot of British people on here my first Jeffrey Lewis experience was hearing the much missed John Peel play 'Chelsea Hotel' late one night on Radio 1. It was a magical moment and I was hooked instantly. Therefore the song has a particular place in my affection.
It's surprising, given the range of Jeff's songwriting, that the two finalists are actually similar songs in subject matter and style. |

You should just keep this open, and see if East River ever takes the lead! |
