Glad to find this forum , thank dav for that, i m fabrice from lille in france ,
I saw jeff & Jack Lewis a lot, the first time with herman dune & rachel lipson in a bar in lille called "pain et vin" ( pictures : http://rapportskymarshall.free.fr/concerts/antifolk-03-06-2003/page_01.htm )
really good souvenir they play with the dune after the gig on the street ..completely acoustic .. velvet covers ...
the last time in london in november ... a lot of friend agree with me , each time you see the jeff lewis band on stage , it s always good and always better ... |

Hi! I'm french, and I'm 27, my first experience with the Jeffrey Lewis music was listening to the end of the history of punk rock on the lower east side when driving and switching the radio stations 'cause my music player was out of batteries. I found it was genious, and since I became a huge fan of his work, specially because he put words and a warm light to a lot of situations we have to deal with sometimes (There are a lot of tenth avenues in this world!). Until today, I could not believe that his talents were so confidential.
I saw a Jeff Lightning Lewis & the meteorites show in France just a few weeks later, and it was even better than I had expected. I have two pics and a tribute to his songwriting on my blog http://bibasse.joueb.com. Sorry, it's in french...

i guess i'm the tall one, i'm 1m72, it's not that small, so...i was wearing a blue shirt if i remember well...
actually i think that one of the 2 boys who talked with you at the entrance is dave, the guy who did this mb....not sure tho cuz you probably talked with others pple, but i 'm pretty sure that you talked to dave at the entrance, asking if the gig had already started!! |

So I met Dav (proudly written). It's kind of logical. Since this day, I found it was so unbelievable that no forum was dedicated to Jeffrey that I started to think about creating one. I guess he had the same idea... and went a big step further... thanks!

Hi there! My name's Samuel. I'm 26 and I'm from Aix-en-Provence. I'm studying in an IUT Métiers du livre, that means that I'd like to work in the book industry. I really like Jeffrey like all of you. I also dig others artists like Unwound, Calvin Johnson, Arab strap, MF Doom...
I used to have some jeffrey lewis site. I should try to upload it some day if anyone's interested in it.
