Well maybe you already know it but i find an alternative version of "if you shoot the head you kill the ghoul", you can download it on this blog, the begining is different and it seems that some backing vocals are different... http://www.irishblogs.ie/post/jeffrey-lewis
I'm not sure at all but i remember Jeffrey telling about the introduction of the song that rough trade didn't want to release the song with the voice from "night of the living deads" movie, and that Jeff and Jack's mother is actually the voice at the begining of the song, well maybe that is the version of the song _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

I think that must be the version that I've got on Toby Goodshanks' "Unicorn Sounds 2" compilation - well worth checking out from here: http://www.unicornsounds.com/cd.htm
By the way, further to my post regarding known songs, the version of "The Eagle" that I mentioned is also available on Rachel Lipson's fantastic album "Pastures" which is still very much available: http://rachellipson.org/buy/
To Will O and ema - sorry for not getting back to you guys, I've been busy tonight. I'll be mailing you both shortly though |
