I like this band the Brooklyn What, I did a show with them upstate in Kingston last night (near Woodstock, about 2 hours drive from NYC, didn't get home to bed till almost 5am)... The Brooklyn What are just a young local rock band, somehow it's so cool to just see a real rock band, leather jackets, dancing, rocking out.
Also, the venue was quite nice... the BSP Lounge... cool little rock club. With a piano in the backstage room! Sort of classy. |

It all sounds good except for the leather...poor dead cow misses its skin. I have Malcolm Middleton tickets that came in the post today, I love his stuff and think I will treat myself to a version of his first album he's just released on vinyl there too. xxx _________________ Never trust a heart so bent it won’t break. |

I don't think the dead cow really misses its skin. It was most probably killed for its meat anyway! Better use the skin too then...
Not that this is the most interesting discussion. I listened to about a minute of a random video that got up when I searched the band, they sound nice! I should try to listen again, but now I really have to go to bed... |

yeah the leather thing is a tricky one... it's true that if the animal is going to be killed for meat then it really does make the best sense to use as much of the animal as possible, to not be wasteful, use the hide, the hooves, everything!
But i'm sure it would make Morrissey angry anyway. |

Yeah, I agree, I just wish people wouldn't eat them either...
For me, I hate the smell of leather, it smells of death and I don't want it anywhere near my skin, but that's just me. Well, me and Morrissey.
