Jeff,

Here's a link to a video I put together on a South Boston, Va garage band, The Individuals. The shots are from 1967 and came from the drummer.
The group recorded one 45 on Raven Records, a local label that specialized in country and bluegrass and an occasional garage or soul band..
I've also posted Youtube videos of other Southside Virginia bands, including the Soulmasters, Gene and the Team Beats, the Generals, Afton and another on the Individuals.

Thanks for the cool song and great collection of ephemera! I love those old posters.
The song has similarities to the Hatfields' "Yes I Do" on Back From The Grave vol 2, but a lot of these simple garage songs probably have similar roots.

I've written a bio on the Individuals and other Southside Virginia garage and soul groups, all of whom recorded for Danville's Raven Records between 1966-70. This will appear in the Sept. issue of Mike Stax's Ugly Things garage fanzine.

Check out the other local videos I posted on Youtube. This was the first and I got more proficient as I went along.
