I just went 30 days without listening to any Jeff whatsoever. It was tough at first, and it stayed pretty hard (harder than when I didn't listen to the strokes for 5 months this summer), and I did have a couple of slip-ups. Purely mistakes.

I've just had a 3 day binge of albums, bootlegs, covers, interviews, etc and it's been really great. I realised that some of the songs had stayed in my conscious for the entire time (east river for example), but some of them were pleasant surprises (Moving, for some reason really took me by surprise, same for Sal's pizza and Objectified).

I'm not sure exactly what the point of this post was. Sorry for wasting your time. Maybe I should have done it for lent instead.
It's nice to be back.

how brave you are! i mean, really!
i never do that...i think i couldn't..well of course, if i had to...like if i was on a desert island or something like that...i guess i'll be able but... you see what i mean.....especially if i'd like to listen to something in particular... usually i barely can't wait to come home... or worst, i listen to the song on my mp3 player during time work! if i got a song stuck in my mind, it's like, i "must" listen to it within the hour!
usually, i simply wait to be sick/fed up of an artist or his/her music and then, i stop to listen to those songs for a while, till one day, i wake up and i feel the need to listen to them again!
