Jeff and Jack's Posters video, plus Jeff's Will Oldham video, will get their big screen UK debut on the evening of Feb 3rd at the MAC Cinema, Birmingham, as part of the Flatpack Film Festival!

The event is called Mark Locke's Saturday Night Takeaway and is a night of chat show-style chat with Mark plus screenings of his shorts, clips from his feature and screenings of some of his music videos, including videos for the great Misty's Big Adventure!

Misty's will also be performing on the night as Mark's 'house band'!

Tickets are £4.50 in advance from 0121 440 3838, and best to get them early!

For more programme/booking info you can also check out: http://www.flatpackfestival.org/film.php?id=34

I live near Manchester, so I'm a lot closer than some of you.....but still quite a long way away.

My dad used to play us Lonnie Donegan when I was a kid, and there's a song about a train called 'The Wabash Cannonball' that begins 'She came down from Birmingham one cold December day'. I was quite upset to find that it was Birmingham, Alabama rather than Birmingham, West Midlands. This still makes me laugh.

Similarly, the Cumberland gap isn't anywhere near Carlisle....

I've never heard that one. I was quoting Randy Newman from the song that's just called "Birmingham"(also Alabama), but you have me intrigued; I'll give that song a listen.

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs5FWs9EnPQ - somebody has used the song to accompany a video of themselves driving around Wales.
