There's something on the website about 'Andre Herman Dune's Final Show'. I don't know if this is solo, or with the band, but either way, it's very sad.
I wonder what's happened.

this seems weird. actually he left herman düne 2 months ago. i hoped after that he would have more time to release some more solo-records, but his last show ever? i'm confused.

and herman düne are supporting "the kooks", i don't have a comment on this.

Oh god. Don't take this the wrong way, but me and Nic are actually seeing the kooks on tuesday (larrikin love support) BUT WITHOUT HERMAN DUNE!

Nic is going to cry. I don't want him to see this.

I thought it was his last ever show as André Herman Düne, not his last show ever under whatever name he chooses to use in the future! Maybe I misunderstood...

I thought André wasn't doing the HD tour/promotion because he was unhappy with the move to the new label (which belongs to evil EMI) and all the mainstream shit that went with it (crappy tv show appearences, tons of useless/shameless promo, bigger venues, opening for bands you don't even know/like). Oh and David sold a song (little architect, from the switzerland heritage LP) to be used by a french mobile phone company in a tv commercial... That didn't go down very well with a lot of people!

I guess only André knows the real reason(s) he's not part of Herman Düne anymore. I hope it's not permanent because I saw them live without him & it's really not as good as it used to be (of course, I tend to prefer André's songs so it sucks for me!) .

Yes, I wansn't sure if it was his last solo show of not, or just under the name. But I don't see why he would still play in bands, but never do any solo shows. It didn't really give so much info.
Most of my favourite HD songs are DIHD, but I really love most of their stuff. I only have one AHD album so far, and it's so great (Talich Brot). I'm listening to it now, in fact.

Hopefully, he'll be back for the next album. I think David-Ivar is a great frontman, but Herman Dune is about the 2 of them (and of course Neman), not just one of them.

It's all getting mysteriouser and mysteriouser. I had bad feelings when i read that Andre wasn't touring the album, but when we had Lisa staying with us on the Schwervon tour, she said there was nothing deep or sinister to be read into that. She reckoned Andre didn't like touring as more than a 3-piece.

So how are we supposed to interpret this recent announcement - especially that rather frivolous comment on the HD site about calling him "Stan" if we ever see him again??

Yeah, I heard he's been playing squats and stuff in Germany.

I read an interview, and it turns out he's been living in Berlin for a couple of years now, while David lives in Paris (I think Paris anyway).

Also, I just managed to get Giant!!! 4 days before it comes out here. Very Happy

It just finished this second. Wonderful!!!
All their albums have grown on me, I haven't really liked much straight away, so I'll see how I feel about it in a month or so. But at the moment, I love it!
