Texas at the top of the list... AWESOME!
I asked Jeffrey to play Texas when he played The Colloseum in Coventry supporting The Cribs last year, and he did and all.
What a guy...

Jeff played east river last time i saw it (and only time to be honest), a version with new lyrics, i remember the line "life is like a cemetary" instead "Feeling bad on Lexington"
It was a cool version, i wish i could remember more tho :/

Id love to hear the complete history of communism played as one really long song ( including the as yet unwritten chapters)

Héhé He explains that he had to chnge the lyrics cos he moved away from New York (see the song Moving for more info :p ) but i got your point Terricloth, i wish the line could be "felling bad on avenue des français libres" witch is the street i live in Smile

There's a lot of tenth avenues... I moved to a new city last year and often felt alone during the first months. On my walks, I never took the same street at the start, high spirited, wishing to meet someone, and always ended up depressed on the same street leading to my appartement. Then a few months later, I heard the song, and started to think that :
1. I survived.
2. Jeffrey did too, and put out something good about it. Or, if he didn't live this situation, at least, he can read minds.
3. The song is definitely not about New York.

The song requires a build-up of a wal k from the West Side of Manhattan from 10th Avenue eastward to the East River. The blocks go: 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, Madison, Park, Lexington, 3rd, 2nd, lst, York, then the FDR Drive ( a highway named for Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a US president), then the East River. You can imagine the narrator making this trip as his suicidal depression deepens and he winds up in the river. There is an esplanade off the river where people jog and ride bicycles but the river is notoriously dirty. Great song.
