Right, well I'm going to be in Glasgow at the end of November so that means I should be able to see Jeff playing on the 30th. Good. But, the reason I'm going to be in Glasgow is to go to my best friend's wedding. And the 30th is his stag night (Bachelor party for all you yanks out there.) So, is it acceptable to disappear from my friends stag night for an hour to go and see the creeping brains? Obviously the best thing would be if I could meet Jeff and Jack after the show and bring them along to the stag party, a kind of early wedding present ha ha.

Wow, it's a hard choice. If your friend was a Lewis fan, it would be easier. Maybe you can subtly make him realize that he is a fan!

Just say you're going to the crapper. Hopefully they'll all be drunk and won't notice you're gone, until you rejoin them a few hours later.

wow!!not easy....does he really like music and esp jeff's? maybe he'd be ok with it if you'd ask him? after all, it's just for a couple of hours....or just follow jackfe and willO 's advice...which is...get him so drunk that he won't even notice that you're gone....but...dunno.....i reckon i'd just tell him and would state my good and strong case!!

well, thanks for the advice. my friend is also a jeff fan, but I don't think he'll be able to escape his own stag party to go and see him. I could try and incorporate going to the gig as part of the stag night, but maybe having 20 rowdy, drunk men turning up might unsettle jeff a little. so, i've decided that I'll tell matthew that I'm going to sneak away for an hour or so to see the show, I'm sure he'll understand: i've got divided loyalties after all.

he he's a fan he should understand, he'll probably just be gutted that he cant come - though thats his own fault for planning a stag do with out checking for future jeff gigs!
