Syd aka Roger Barrett died, peacefully, he was only 60.
Syd was my fave musician ever as some of you already know, 'im so sad :'(
RIP Syd :'(

sorry for the copy past but, here his a message from Jeff about Syd Barrett, i found it great so i post it here
"Syd changed my life too - especially Opal! And I'll never forget the first time I heard Bike...
He really made some of the most unique and greatest stuff ever. No one is really anything like Syd. And he never made any kind of return! No interview, no appearance, not even a chance for anyone to see any of the paintings he was supposedly doing all this time. Unbelievable. In the end he makes other musical recluses like Scott Walker and Jandek look media-friendly by comparison. Syd has left a legacy of mystery unequaled. What HAD he been thinking and doing for the past 30 years?!"
