Ok, you all know my advice by now which is to listen to both songs before you vote, you never know your choice might supprise you.
both songs have been on a long path to get to this stage and by this point I can't even remember who knocked out who ( but feel free to browse the past rounds room should you wish to reminis)
there are plenty of live recordings and the like avalible in the download section should you which to hear the songs again but they are also both album tracks so it you don't own it already go out right now and buy yourself a copy of 'the last time I did acid I went insane - and other favorites' and put some money in Jeffs pocket so he can go out and buy a plane ticket and put the band on the road again !!!!!!!!! (The weathers great over here- a few JL Band gigs on the horizon would make the summer!)
where was I?............
......Oh Yes - vote for your favorite and the winner will move on to the Semi-finals!
Happy Voting _________________

Now I feel that winning in the french soccer team must be less painful than surviving in this competition. _________________ Free signature offer at the Jeff Lewis Message Board!

This is a really horrible one.
East River is full of Jeff's trademark self-deprication (something that never ceases to make me cry) and some amazing metaphors (How did he make sludge so romantic????).
Heavy Heart short, but perfectly formed. A great message to carry round with you when you are feeling sad or unsure of yourself. I must start saying it to people.
In short- I'm screwed. |

Very sharp description, i totally feel the same. Plus, I think that Heavy Heart has an "adventurous" intro, I mean the guitar riff seems cheap, yet it work so well. So hard to compare an epic, lyrics-based folk song a la jeffrey to such a small and luminous jewel. _________________ Free signature offer at the Jeff Lewis Message Board!

I've been thinking about this long and hard, and I was gonna go with Heavy Heart, because I love the video. Then I remembered that i also love the East River video, too! So no vote from me yet... |

Video? I'm intrigued. Where can these be viewed? Maybe it would help with my decision. Probably not. |
