Hamlet was kind enought to send me the live performance of Jeff lewis Band "history of punk" on a dvd....i'm ripping it right now and it may be up tomorrow and maybe later tonight, stay tuned...
if some of you own a dvd burner and want to have the dvd files let me know and i'll try a way to upload it somehow
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hamlet description of the file :
Tuli Kupferberg of the Fugs brought Jeff and Jack Lewis to the Loisaida Festival to perform A History of Punk on New York's Lower East Side , 1950- 1975. On the way to the Theatre for the New City, Paul Thornton of the Godz called out " Hey Tuli!" and Tuli invited him to come see Jeff and Jack do their history piece. Tuli, beat poet and political satirist, sings "Let Them All Go to Hell Except Cave 64" the first "hymn" to nationalism. Tuli's NYC cable TV show "Revolting News" will broadcast this video on 6/27/06.

You can play it on your TV and shoot it with your camera off the screen. It may lose a little fidelity but it's probably easier. |

Great job Dave! Brilliant techno feat. Tuli, Jeff and Jack look super. Sorry about the shakiness, I was shooting without a tripod. The footage of Paul Thornton of the Godz was too dark but at least you could hear him. Maybe I should have used Nightshot on my camera. Hope you all enjoy it. It will be broadcast on TV in NYC June 27, Ch. 57, MNN, 6:30 PM on Tuli's "Revolting News" edited for television (sans gros mots) Will people be able to burn it DVD from the Quicktime AVI file? |

unfortunatly i can't understand his whole text :/
As the file is pretty small i think it's best to do a VCD out of it, dvd players can play it and you only need a regular cdr and a cdburner, and a burning software of course. _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

Let them all go to hell except Cave 64
If they give you any trouble, throw them through the door.
This is our cave it's the best in the world
We don't want no wogs (foreigners) here, our cave might get spoiled.
Our cave is the best, the hell with the rest,
We got the prettiest girls, they never fail the test ( the AIDS test, that is)
We got the greatest music, we got the best-est brains,
Cause we always eat the cortex of the ones that we have slain.
Yes, we love to slurp gray matter from the ones that we have slain.
Ruling comes natural for those that excel,
The rest of you bastards, you can go to hell.
God gave courage and God made us right
And if you dont like it we'll stab you in a fight.
If you don't like it, we'll kill you in the night.
Let them all go to hell except Cave 64 etc. etc.
It's Caveman politics kind of like George Bush's. Tuli is a life long anti-war activist who loves to satirize violence. Kill for Peace is his most famous song from the Fugs 2nd album. |
