West Hampstead Arts Centre (Thursday 12/09/24)

Tonight was a solo show in a small basement venue (for London readers even smaller than the Brixton Windmill); although still bigger than the La Pointe Lafayette where I saw Jeff in Paris back in 2018.

Jeff’s performance was a mixture of old and new songs (including a selection written for Jeff’s local open mic night - these are indicated by a * and I’ve guessed the titles) punctuated by questions submitted by the audience on the door which Jeff pulled out of a glass.

Question (Q): Any plan to make a low budget video about Spanish communism? Answer (A): Not at the moment - more likely to do videos about communism in Latin American and Africa but may do a video on the Spanish Civil War at some point.
Q. Why was the comic series called Fluff? A. Originally called Guff but there was already a comic series with that name so switched one letter to become Fluff. New series called Statics (inspired by how films are called movies).
