Here I am on the west coast of the USA, visiting brother Jack. Jack also came to meet me and Mallory for the last two dates of our tour opening for Quasi, so Jack was there with us at the gig in LA and the gig in San Francisco. But we didn't really have time to put together any kind of stuff to perform together, and Jack wasn't traveling with a bass anyway. It was still really fun to be on the road together, and then back at Jack's house he had his bass and I had my guitar so we could serenade his 4-yr old daughter and it was amazing to me how we could remember how to play and sing so many songs together with zero rehearsal or preparation!
I'm heading home to NYC in a few days...
Then I'll be gathering up my current bandmates Brent and Mallory and Kait and heading to the UK for a 2-week tour Aug 29-Sept 14! |

How did she get to be 4?! I remember when she was born and it doesn’t feel that long ago! I’m happy you have got to have some good brother time and you have got the guitars out. I always think sibling voices sound so good together, there’s something about knowing each others voices so well that makes the harmonies work better. Have a nice holiday before you head out on tour. I don’t know if it will last but the uk is currently really hot so be careful and pack sun cream and shorts. I wish you all the best with it and wish I was swinging by to one of the dates.
