The current UK tour features a new band-line up - its now a 4-piece (Jeff, Mallory, Brent & Isabel). The band name is still the Jeffery Lewis & The Voltage which is a bit surprising given the frequency of name changes in the past. (JL & The Rain, & The Jitters, & The Junkyard, & The Jrams, & Los Bolts etc. etc.) and its been around since 2019-or-so when the line-up was Jeff, Brent & Mem.
How about a new name for the new band?
As a bit of fun, has anyone got a new name suggestion(s) for the band?
My suggestion is "Jeffrey Lewis & The Jolts". Its in-keeping with the J-prefix and the link with lightning. |

Oooh, I like the Jolts! Might take that idea! : D
Tho I've been very fond of having a name with a "v" in it, everybody knows the key to success as a band is having a "v" in the name! It worked for
Television
Richard Hell & The Voidoids
Nirvana
Pavement
Velvet Underground
Violent Femmes
the Vaselines
So I'm trying to learn from their example. It can also be helpful to have an X or a Z in the name... But it seems like a V is the best! : D |
