I've just baught the first four issues (on ebay) for 5 bucks. I really like it, so cool to see Alan Moore pop in Veitch dreams. I really like the concept of the whole thing and the art is so so good. Rick Veitch is really one of the best artists in my humble opinion.
I'll try to seek the other volumes.
Also, i really see Rick Veitch influence on Jeffrey's work.
Anyway, i strongly recomand if you wanna read something different and see really great art.

I definitely LOVE those issues of Rick Veitch's Rare Bit Fiends. The first few issues are the greatest, but then maybe around issue 9 or so, he started changing his art style and it doesn't look as good. I think he was not selling as many copies as he had hoped, so he started having to draw them faster, to do other work to survive at the same time. That's my theory... Or maybe he was just finding it harder to get the book out on deadline each issue, and started working more fast and sloppy to keep up. But those first issues, the dreams and the art and the layouts are so great. Actually I love all the Rare Bit Fiends series, even the new ones where he draws it on a computer, just because I find Rick Veitch very interesting and cool and weird. His art and his approach have really been an important influence on me. I love how he can draw anything, from any angle, in any situation, with any amount of drama or atmosphere that he wishes... but with nothing "fancy" or "flashy" or smooth... It always looks a bit dirty and hand-made, he's not trying to impress you with a slick surface, but he is doing such incredible work, such powers of illustration and imagination, a perfect comic book artist. And those page layouts!!! Has any comic book artist had more imaginative panel designs and page designs? He's so wild with that stuff, and it fits the dream-comic idea perfectly.
