I was browsing my vinyls yesterday trying to find out what to listen to and i picked up the first The Cure LP, three imaginary boys, it's the copy that i got since i'm 13 years old and i realised that is the record i listened to the most in my entire life, i loved it when i first heard it and i still love it today (and i loved it in betwwen).
I also think that this LP sounds quite a lot like The Wave Pictures, the voice, the guitar sound, i think that it would be a great cover LP for them.
Anyway it made me wonder what are your all time most played record?

In the past few years I have replaced CDs that have stopped playing because I've loved them so much and so long. A good one will get the creator two sales from me as I slowly kill the disc with endless playing. One of them was Fevers and Mirrors by Bright Eyes, I'd had it for many many years and love every second of it. x

Hmm, it's a tough question! The albums that were the first records that I got into, like first discovering rock and roll at 13 or 14 years old, I guess I listened to those a ton, because I had so few albums! And also if I still like them, then they're albums that I've been listening to for so many years since teenage that no newer album could have a real chance to catch up. So maybe a most-listened to album for me over the course of my whole life might be "Let it Bleed" by the Rolling Stones...
In general I think my most-listened albums are the "Pebbles" and "Back From the Grave" garage/psych/60s compilation LPs. I have a lot of them, I think I first tentatively bought Pebbles Volume 3 in 1998 for $6 and it blew me away, so I started buying the other ones anytime I saw them. At first I was scared of buying the later volumes because I figured they would run out of good material to compile, but at some point I got Pebbles volume 22 and it was maybe the best one I'd ever heard so I realized that they're probably all good. I can listen to them endlessly and they are usually more enjoyable to me than almost any other album I could ever put on! Sad but true. I once saw an interview with Mark E Smith of the Fall where he listed Pebbles Volume 3 as one of his favorite albums, so I knew I wasn't just crazy to think so!
