Knowing Jeff's love of obscure sixties psychedelic music, I thought some of the forum readers might "enjoy" discovering this band, or maybe not.
I was first attracted their fantastic name: "Percewood's Onagram". Pretty neat - it sounds like an unusual medical device for measuring sexual dysfunction.
The first track of theirs that I heard "I've Got My Woman", from 1969, was equally odd - the musicianship is OK, but the lyrics are plain bad. Very bad indeed.

I suppose this might be the result of a German band trying to write lyrics in English but the results are plain awful. I can't think of a more depressing opening verse in a song. How it ever got recorded is remarkable. Its so bad its amusing. |
