I've just finished the whole 66 volumes series and it was quite a trip!
I got really hooked and thrilled by the main story and all the sub plots.
The characters are really cool (heroes and vilains)
Any Garth Ennis readers here?
I've also read The Boys but i haven't read the whole thing yet, i liked preacher better.
I have seen a massive volume of his hellblazer work at the comic store a couple of days ago and wonder if it was worthy, anyone read it? _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

If you like Preacher you'll definitely like his Hellblazer stuff, it's the same artist too! They are a great creative team. I think I've read most of their Hellblazer issues (though I don't like the other Hellblazer stuff that I've read, with different writer/artist teams)... and I really liked Preacher for the first bunch of issues, but after about 20 issues I started to get bored of it, it was sort of just the same thing over and over I thought. But it sure was exciting at first! I don't even know how long the whole series went. |

Dav – we must have finished it pretty much at the same time! However, I agree with Jeff in that I got pretty bored with it in places. I'm glad I made it through though because there's some rich characters and lots of twists and turns. It took me about 2 years to read it all though because I had to keep taking breaks when I lost interest.
I've been going out with my girlfriend about the same amount of time it took to read it. She said she wasn't sure if she's ready to be in a relationship with me in which I'm not still reading Preacher. It's a brave new world I'm living in now.
Maybe I'll give Hellblazer a go. |

For the sake of your continuing Ennis-themed relationship I guess you have to start reading those Hellblazer issues immediately! |
