I add the avatar feature to the message board, some of you might like it, the others will not care, anyway, you can use it or not 
A here is the way to have a pic for a signature, if you don't already know it
in your profile add [img]www.yourpicurl.com[/img]

Hey Will you seems to be interested in Shaolins, i'm quite interested with this too, i also like bushido, in fact the next book i want to buy is HAGAKURE, the way of the samuraļ....i was looking for that book for a long time and i saw they got it at a store

Hey yeah im a big martial arts fan, the avatar is from my schools site, I do kung fu and Tai chi. Im quite excited at the moment because a group of us are going on a trip to china later this year to visit and train at shaolin amongst seeing other cool sights and doing loads of stuff in a very busy 18 days!

I did not know that so many folks here were fans of martial arts.
I just remember the words of an old wise master :
"it's only an octopus
don't bother it and i'm sure it won't bother us "

No there's no way to get two avatars, but you can have a picture, gif or something like that as a signature !
