I'm not entirely sure I get it... other than I guess it's just about Alan worrying that vapid frat-boys are casually using Guy Fawkes masks without having a more serious agenda... I guess I'm just confused about why the mask-wearers are all speaking in text-speak or iconic speak, I think Alan would probably approve of people using social media to organize gatherings for social justice and stuff like that?? Obviously I'm over-thinking it! Sorry, it's like 2:30am and I'm way to tired to be trying to write anything!!! i should just delete this before i go to sleep! |

As i read it, all these people talking using internet language are quite the opposite to Alan Moore use of old english and prose, especially for the v character.
i agree with you that the use of v for vendetta's mask, (or Guy Fawkes's face) might be approuved by Alan Moore, i'm also quite sure that he sells less copies v for vendetta than the amount of masks that are floating around.
