sorry for another comic book suggestion post 10 mins after my joe sacco one, but i'm on a comic book research hype tonight and I'm a careful shopper with very little money to my name! i always feel it necessary to get recommendations on possible purchases in case i'm out of pocket for something thats not very good.
Does anyone have any suggestions for where to start with Robert crumb? been interested in getting somthing of his for a while but not really sure where to start. i love biographical comics about musicians so thought that his "Heroes of Blues, Jazz, and Country" might be cool. anyone read it, know if its good?
(Btw anyone else with similar interests, i recently read a comic about The Carter Family called "Don't Forget This Song" that was great! a really nice insight into the dawn of recorded music.
Also hip hop family tree, but I've already been on about that.
Currently reading a graphic biography on woody Guthrie, which is ok, not amazing. It's semi fictional and I'm not too keen on the writing style) _________________ http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3006/2501926108_65f54395f7.jpg?v=0
