Has anyone read Joe Saccos Bumf volume 1?
Saw it in a shop today, seems to compile a bunch of his strip and fictional work. is this new material?
I absolutely love his journalistic work, was just curious if anyone new if this collection was worth getting.

i did see it in stores before xmas, put it on my holiday gift list and nobody bought it for me, so now i'll just buy it for myself! it looks like a return to sacco's earlier more playful stuff, i'm definitely intrigued to check it out.

Late reply, but--YESYESYES, BUY IT!!! I think it's the best thing Sacco's done in a long time. Fucking brilliant comic. Really refreshing to see him doing original, non-"real-life" work. Bumf #1 is this crazed, multi-part satire of, broadly, the "military-industrial-entertainment complex". And Barack Obama is Richard Nixon. Or vice versa. It's pretty fucking mind-blowing...actually you've made me want to re-read it! there's a shout-out to "the guys from Viz" (the British humour comic, not the manga company!) in the indicia, I'd bloody love to know the story behind that...
