Did anyone else notice that in the refrain to the song a fragment of Syd Barrett's Octopus is sung. (heave-and-ho). Carrying on the Octopus theme rather nicely...
That much I realised...
Then I puzzled over the bit about the "slushy pen". A bit of detective work on Google to realise thats from the song Garden by "The Fall".
Octopus + Garden in the refrain.
All very clever. Jeff! Top marks.
Am I the first to notice? (its only taken me 7 years to realise) |
