Back to Jeff's guitar, that was one of the things that I first loved when I saw him. I'm pretty sure he just has an electric guitar pickup mounted in his Epiphone. Does anyone know what kind of amp he uses?
He gave me the ideo of putting a telecaster humbucker pickup into my fender acoustic, and plugging it into my marshall, and using distortion pedals. It's a bit odd, but when I saw him do a feedback solo on an acoustic guitar, I knew I wanted that sound.

As far as I know Jeff just plugs into the house amp as they tend to travel light with just there guitars crashing on peoples floors etc the pick up he uses Im fairly sure is a proper acoustic pick up though it is normally stuck on with so much gaffer tape
I have no idea what it is ( not that I would particularly recognise a pick up !)

Now your guitars set up though you should check out the tabs section theres loads of different songs in there

Yeah, I was having a look at the tabs. I could already play a few, but thanks so much for all of these.

Sorry to answer for you jack but a humbucker is a type of pick up which usually looks like 2 pickups side by side like this....

On a related note to Dav's comment, this is the kind of guitar I'm looking at buying. Mmm, nice. I'm pretty sure Will Oldham often uses and Ibanez at gigs sometimes too...
