This is a very fanatical question but one that has been gradualy buggin me more and more lately. Does anybody know exactly what guitar Jeff plays?

Its obviously an epiphone, but what is it???!!!

I don't believe its one they still make it anymore as after a fair bit of on-line searching I am yet to find a picture of one that looks similar.

key points to look out for are the inlayed squares as fret markers instead of the generally standard dots and also the the head stock is quite large and has a white trim around.( see pic below) None of this seems unusual until you try and find a picture of an epiphone with the same features!!

Also, while I'm on the subject of guitars what is written on Jacks bass?! I think some of it has worn away but Im still not entirely sure what it says

It means quite a lot for french people cos we were occupated by germans during WW2, i don't know what Jack means by it tho
