Hey, here I am in Beloit Wisconsin right now! Our set starts in a little while, there's an opening act or two. If your friends from Madison are here (and if you happen to miraculously get this message in time) tell them to come say hi!

Thanks JB!
It was an interesting tour, considering it was the first time we attempted to do an entire USA tour in nothing but all-ages venues. This was harder than it should be! It's always awful when there's people outside a show who can't get in because they are under 21, especially if they have traveled some distance to get there. We wanted to make sure this didn't have to ever happen, but the trade off was that we played in some weirder areas than usual... like, no Chicago show but a show in nearby Evanston instead... and we tried playing the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn for the first time, because they were able to do the show as an all-ages thing. Interestingly this experiment resulted in less people, I wonder if the weird locations were more off-putting than the age limit! Like, we had about 200 people at the Knitting Factory show, instead of the 300 people that were at our NYC show the year before where the show was 21+ only but it was in Manhattan, in a more central location.

Also, ironically, we didn't even see a number of our under-21 fans who have been perpetually frustrated at not being able to get into our US shows in the past! (Maybe we waited too long to book an all all-ages tour and they've outgrown us!)

Anyway, a lot of under-21 folks DID come to some of these shows, and it was really fun to have such a mixed-age crowd, a good number of older folks and younger folks all at a show together! Being the USA, we were usually playing to about 30-100 people on the coasts and about 3-30 people in the middle of the country, New York City is the only area in America where we can expect to bring in more than 200 people. Still, no matter how out-of-the-way we were playing, or how weird the place was and how strange and empty the town seemed, there was not one single show where we didn't have at least one or two fans who knew our songs! And after all, that is pretty cool.

Thanks to everybody who came to any of the USA shows!

No plans for the winter... I guess I'll see what might come up.
