| Really nice little bookshop/printing press/poetry reading spot in Hadley, Massachusettes last night, called Flying Object. I didn't know what to expect because it's an odd area, but actually it's right near Northampton which is a pretty hip town (home to Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore, J Mascis, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, etc). The show was packed! The place is pretty new, maybe a year old, and they're trying to have more cool events and performers come through there. So if you're a performer looking for a gig in that part of the USA, or somebody living around there looking for a good place to go, I'd much recommend the Flying Object in Hadley! Also just a cool weird spot to stop in and check out their rare books and printing apparatus etc. |
