The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and other favorites is finally out on vinyl for the first time, official release date is this coming week when I pack as many of my 500 copies into my car as possible and hit the road on USA tour!
So I'll have 'em for sale starting at the Boston show on Oct 22 (Jack's birthday actually).
The LP comes with download card, including 4 bonus tracks. It'll be available in US stores this month too, then available from my website as soon as I get home from tour.
If it seems like a popular enough item, I may do a vinyl editions of other stuff... need room in my apartment to stack it all up, of course... |

Great news, i'll keep an eye on your website to order one copy. And 4 bonus tracks, that's great. Are the song from the lp era? _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

I shouldn't buy it really as I have just brought a house and have literally no money, but I want it! Maybe I can scrape together a few pennies xx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

You guys probably know the bonus tracks but maybe not these versions - the bonus material is basically just a live recording from November 2001, but it's nice versions of some stuff from that period. Springtime, AU Base (Prewar Yardsale cover), Complete History of Jeff's Sexual Conquests, Last Time I Did Acid. |

I just got a rug yesterday (my dad was getting rid of it) so now I have a use for a Dysons! Tho maybe the vacuum in my closest will still work fine. Hmm, maybe it IS a Dysons. |

Well, any one will do of course, but Dysons are a cut above when it comes to performance. They do amazing fans and heaters too but I haven't got one of them yet. I hope your rug is nice and warm and you can lay around on it reading and staring at the ceiling. xxx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

I feel like I'm spamming the message board with commercials for vacuum cleaners...
don't delete me!
And back to the topic of vinyl LPs, I got 4 orders already! I'm going to have to start buying more cardboard to mail these things out in... so far all I've had to do to package and ship vinyl is to re-use the cardboard packaging from any LPs I buy from ebay! Does that mean I'll have to buy one LP from ebay for every LP of my own that I sell, just to provide myself with packaging products? Not a bad situation, really!
My recent ebay LP scores are:
"Alien" by Jim McCarthy, a rare solo side-project album on ESP-Disk from the main guy in The Godz, from 1973 or so, it is a somewhat famous rare record but the music turns out to be rather bland and disappointing, typical early-70s "roots rock/country" from a formerly pscychedelic 60s guy, 99% of those guys did albums like this and 99% of them are dullsville.
"Celebrations for a Grey Day" by Mimi & Richard Farina, their first album from 1965, I already had their second LP but I needed to get/hear this one after reading "Positively 4th Street". This album is nice, folk/acoustic duo stuff with some interesting instrumentals, but they are clearly just figuring out what they are doing and it's not as good as their second/final album.
Okay, that's just the ratings of the LPs themselves... as for rating the vinyl mailing-boxes they arrived in, I find them to be sturdy, well-shaped, and perfectly re-usable for mailing out my own LPs! Thumbs up! |

I think you'll find it's me with the spamming, sorry, I didn't mean to.
I love the idea of you recycling the envelopes from your personal mail, that is so lovely and kind. I love that you do it personally too instead of getting someone else to do it, makes it all even more special. I will get on to some relative to order mine for me, sorry I have been a bit slack and lazy xxx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |
