Hello all
I realise it is rather late in the day to receive a reply to my question but, just in case, can anyone tell me if it is possible to sit down at the Globe during a gig? I can't get to the Bristol gig on Tuesday and a friend who is visiting is game for crossing the bridge for tonight's show, but I need to sit down on account of bandaged feet. It doesn't seem possible to speak to anyone at the Globe directly having tried....did think of bringing a fold up chair but apart from fire regs I think attending a gig in slippers on my own chair might make me feel self conscious..! |

Did you go? I'm sorry I didn't see this, as there are seats at the Globe and could have told you in advance, sorry! I hope you did manage to go to the tour, it was amazing xx _________________ Never trust a heart so bent it won’t break. |

Thanks Helen for your post. The venue did text back in the end and were very kind and accommodating but when it came to it I decided it wasn't the sensible thing to do as I should be taking it easy and was already pretty exhausted by evening. Sadly missing the Bristol gig too as I write and hoping to be back on my feet for some good live music again soon. Is the title of the new album in anyway associated with Jeff versus Conor Oberst in your dream appearances?! Keep trying to play the whole album through but the smalls seem to rule the airwaves here and keeep returning to halloween related music, our 5 year old having developed a thing for 't ain't no sin after his grandad was trying to come up with some alternative bones lyrics after dem bones got all too much.

I didn't think you did, I didn't see anyone with bad feet. Although I am pretty unobservant! I'm sorry you got to miss the tour though, that is a massive shame, and that you let your child dictate the music, tell them you get a turn too so you can listen to your new record! At least read them the comic and try to distract them until you've listened to it all!
Luckily the UK doesn't 'do' halloween, I find it all a bit annoying really. I had a grand total of one trick or treater at my door, and she lives in my road and knows me so that's why she came. She's only 2 and was dressed as a witch. Aww!
I like to think the dream songs is a reference to how all my favourite creators in music appear in my dreams but I doubt it actually is. However, I can keep pretending, it makes me feel special!
I really hope your feet are on the mend, I have no idea how I'd do my daily life with bandages on my feet, I wander around a lot, let alone look after a 5 year old. Feel better soon! xxxxx _________________ Never trust a heart so bent it won’t break. |
