Hello there, keen to know if you are confirmed? This looks like a really nice festival, a new one to me and surprised that there was no mention on here. The trains and farm means that 3 small people may also be convinced of the merits of going too. I posted my question at the point HelenC was querying your apparent lack of news and when I was trying to get the hang of sarcastic wit (and failing, possibly twice)!!
As an aside, thanks to the previoulsy unrecognised aerodynamic qualities of Fuff 6, which I have kindly been given this week, I have just managed to squish 2 clothes moths which flew past me whilst reading it only 30 minutes ago. I can assure the comic is crease and blemish free and apologise to all insect loving readers, although any of you who have had all your woollens munched through may also feel less kindly towards them. |

Yes, Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard confirmed for Indietracks on July 31!
(I usually only endorse my comics being used to squash mosquitos but I guess moths are okay too if you're really in a desperate spot.) |

Jeff is a self-professed mosquito mass murderer. |

How exciting! We have tickets and I see Herman Dune have snuck onto the confirmed list too, what a treat. Camping surprisingly expensive though, although we usually stay in wilder more pared down sites so perhaps we're out of touch with these all singing all dancing affairs.
No more Fuff implicated moth massacres at our house but the coast is still not clear. |

Hey, I didn't know Herman Dune are playing Indietracks! Hope I get to see them - I think I'll only be there for the Sunday. |

Nice to finally get the chance to take a look at what's been going on on here having driven myself bonkers trying to make elderflower cordial this evening - I need the assistance of Grenouille to sniff out the sweet elderflower from that which is more reminiscent of cat pee. Not easy when you have a partially blocked nose, about 100 umbels and the overwhelming fug is borderline offensive. Not to mention that I have filled the kitchen with a thousand thunder-bugs.
Anyhow, this has also been a good opportunity to listen to some new music, so I thought I'd take a look at some of the bands that are playing Indietracks. So far I have really rather enjoyed listening to Crystal Stilts, I guess nostalgia was driving this as Departure had me back at 6th form college immersed in Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division and the like, feels appropriate then that they should look my age. Haiku Salut also worth checking out for some really captivating piano, not delved much further though as Haiku Salut made me want to hear Clint Mansell's Moon soundtrack, I'm still astonished to think he was fronting Pop Will eat itself.
Goodnight all, sweet dreams Helen!
Good news, Herman Dune look to be on just prior on the Sunday, shame you won't be there for more of the weekend! |

Aw thanks for the sweet dreams!
how did your elderflower work out? I am impressed by the effort you have gone to! I love a gin and elderflower, I'd pop round for one but it's a bit of a walk...

Ohh, gin and elderflower, now there's an idea, just off to dust down the gin bottle and have a go - cordial quite subtle but good although not quite the bottled sunshine I have tasted before. Have a lovely evening whatever you are up to xx |
