Don't know if this is news to anyone here, but I just found out that Suze Rotolo died last Thursday (or was it Friday? Rolling Stone said Thursday, Village Voice says Friday) she was Bob Dylan's girlfriend/muse back in the sixties and was on the cover of his 1963 album "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan." According to Rolling Stone, she played a big role in his "political awakening".

Aw, hadn't heard that. Thanks for posting. As a left-wing New Yorker living on 4th Street with a November 20th birthday she and I had a lot in common! (Plus nobody knows about the two years I dated Bob Dylan.) In seriousness, 67 seems too young for her to go, especially with Bob and others of her generation still going strong - I guess she must have been a smoker? Wikipedia says she died of lung cancer. I read an interview with somebody a couple years ago, a folk singer, maybe it was Steve Earle, saying that he loved being in the village in NYC because he could "still see Suze Rotolo walking around the neighborhood and she still looks great," I thought that was a cute comment since she must have been in her 60s at the time.
