I don't know if you guys have already done this, but it would be nice to be able to put a face to all of your names, so....yeah..is anyone interested in posting a pic of themselves? (This is a pic of me in my element: In the bathroom on the laptop. Being attacked by pigeons.)

This is me. The picture makes me smile, mainly because it's the only photo I've smiled in.
Basically it's my shot from a record I did with some friends - we got bored of miserable looking people on album covers and press shots, so we tried to look as happy as possible: harder than it looks. |

That's a great picture! =) I can do emoticon smileys, no problem, but really smiling takes effort sometimes and usually seems forced, especially if I'm in a bathroom taking pictures of myself. =P
But I know what you're saying about the tragic, woe is me, I'm so miserable and I haven't had a shower in 2 weeks look. Especially when it's an overpaid rockstar that's probably having lots of liaisons with 20 year old supermodels. ...I guess they're entitled to their own misery, but it's just as annoying as the kiss face covers when it's only done to be trendy. |

Oh, you beautiful young people, so fresh and sweet-faced, it does my heart good to see you.
HelenC, it's confusing, but if you have a photobucket.com account, it's not too hard to post a pic there; once you have a photo posted, they post code to embed it on other sites in various formats, and you can just click it to copy and then paste it wherever you want your pic to show up. That said, hope this works; here goes:

I don't have photobucket, but I did work out how to do it, only to discover every picture I have saved makes me look like some fat ugly munter....sooo I'm having a look through my livejournal for anything better... xx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

Helen, I saw your post earlier, but I didn't have time to reply. I'm glad you figured out how to post a picture on your own because I was going to offer to help without actually knowing how it works. (Did you find the image shack site?)
I have to admit that I cheated and looked at your live journal page and read some of your posts, you have a lot of gorgeous pictures on there! Also, I'm a big fan of your writing, I want to subscribe to your page, but I don't have an account... |

Aw that's kind Kris, thank you!
I am in the process of making my LJ all friends only because I am unnecessarily paranoid! Don't worry, you're not missing much by not reading my drivel.
I can now confess I looked at your pictures on Xanga too, very nice, I was sad there wasn't more writing on there. I'm such a nose, I always look on people's profiles on here but no one has filled anything out hardly!
I had a look but can't find any pictures I like, so I'll have to get one from elsewhere...I'll get on the case. I'm meant to be in bed, it's getting late!

(Tshack, I love that pic by the way..beautiful)
Helen, shoot.. I need to make a lj account so I can keep up to date. =) We actually seem to have a lot in common... My xanga stuff starts back at 2001, but it's a lot of crazy ranting, I was just kind of hoping someone would read it and relate, it's always good to find people who understand, or at least tolerate your quirks. |

Always up for a new friend on lj hun, I'll talk to you on there for sure.
Ah, now I can see all the writing on your xanga, just been having a read through, I love your stuff. It'll be nice when Jeffy has a new album out, we can spread the love all over lj. There's only one community for him specifically and I tried to keep it alive but really no one posts on there, the others are all 'antifolk' ones where everyone seems really clever and talks about things I've never heard about, so I steered clear in fear of being exposed as a thickie.
I tolerate everyone, really, nothing shocks me, it doesn't when you've worked in care, mental health, hospitals etc, you see it all!
