is anyone going to this?
for those in the area, it's an expansion-of-sorts of the greatest annual 'fest' which has been at Pilam the past few years. just lots of bands with 2 people like Japanther, BEST FRIENDS, and many others. well this year it's a 3 day event, and I saw a Jefftey Lewis signed on for Day 1 so........
it's at the art mausoleum at 12th and Spring Garden. I'm excited. 2-Piece Fest has been one of my very favorite things for the past 2 years.

I recently heard Spoonboy was added to the bill -
SO it seems the current lineup and info for Friday in Philadelphia is:
1-Piece Festival
Friday February 25th 7PM
at the Philadelphia Mausoleum of Contemporary Arts (phillymoca.com)
531 North 12th St. Philadelphia, PA 19123
All Ages $8
7:00 doors
7:30-8:00 Mike Bell
8:05-8:35 Hop Along
8:40-9:10 Spoonboy
9:15-9:45 Gull
9:50-10:35 Joe Jack Talcum
10:40-11:30 Jeffrey Lewis
Now the question is, will I have the energy to drive back to NYC at midnight? There's a protest in NYC on Saturday morning I'd like to attend -
Or should I find a place to sleep in Philly that night? |

you might not see this in time, but I've got a couch you're welcome to.
also, if you do stay in Philly to tomorrow and feel like extending it, I strongly suggest you see a play tomorrow night called Blasted. I actually haven't seen it yet so I don't know what it's "about" but I was talking with someone who's in it and I can say it might have something to do with "people" and "society". it's by Sarah Kane, who wrote the play 4.48 Psychosis which is amazing. http://lunatheater.org/order_blasted.htm |
