Hi all!
Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard return to Brooklyn after more than a year!!
After all the recent tour stuff around the USA, with Akron/Family, then with Shilpa Ray, then with Dr. Dog, Jack and Dave and I are all back in NYC together for a few days! Hopefully we'll get some new recordings done before Jack returns to Portland and Dave returns to London. AND we're playing a full band show at Glasslands in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Wednesday October 28! Joining us on the bill will be the great Shilpa Ray herself, and comic book artist/indie-rocker David Heatley! David Heatley is the creator of many great comic books including the highly recommended collection "My Brain is Hanging Upside Down" and he's also a songwriter/performer, formerly in the Shimmy-Disc band Velvet Cactus Society (whom I used to listen to in college).
Glasslands is not far from the Bedford Avenue L train, at 289 Kent Ave between South 1st and South 2nd Street.
