This message board is a really neat space, glad to see so many topics and file sharing and all that stuff continues to grow! Here's the email i've been sending out to the mailing list about the Uk dates that are coming up in February! Should I try to transfer my "video" drawing to a format in which they can be projected so people can see them in these larger venues? I can't decide! -Jeffrey
Hi all! Looks like the Jeffrey Lewis Band is going to be back in the UK in February doing some shows as support to the Cribs and a few headlining shows as well! As usual Jack and Dave and I will be running around in non-rockstar style so if there’s anyone out there who would be into driving us for any or all of this time period, or letting us sleep on your floor any of these nights, let us know! Love to all of ya – Jeff & co
PS – The new album “Jeffrey & Jack Lewis: City & Eastern Songs” continues to get great responses, thanks to all of you for your support!
Note that the shows with question marks are unconfirmed and may end up being different… Check www.TheJeffreyLewisSite.com for updates

Thank you for the support, too bad there's no date in france.
About the projection thingy you can make diaporama in .avi turn it into mpeg or any format then you can use a video projector, the hard thing is the timing imo,
take a lok at the one i made for the story of the fall, i'll give you an idea....

Good luck with your tour, maybe i can raise enough money and go to a gig, let's hope ! _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

I love that Story of the Fall presentation paired with the live recording! The timing is a tiny bit off in certain places as far as when the image should change but overall it is totally great!! I hope I can make something that good. I got a second-hand laptop and projector for this and Dave (drummer) is currently taking digital photos of all my "video" drawings.

The hardest is the timing, you change the timing of one image and you got to retime all the ones that follows....with a laptop you might be abble to change the images as you want using acdsee or a program like that... _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

i'm gonna put the tour dates on another forum full of british friends, some might know the jeff lewis band and would be very happy to help the boys, for the car ride or let them sleep at home....i'm not sure it'll work, but i'll try!
this the only thing i can do, cos i don't live in england and mostly i don't have a car anyway!!
oh and you deffo should make a projection of your drawings, if it's technically possible...i'm sure it could be brilliant!
good luck xx

Hi all,
Well im very happy cos i got in early this time and booked tickets for me and my mates to go to the brixton gig ( the time before last they sold out and we had to drive an hour and a half up the motorway to the oxford gig - we weren't the only ones either!)
Just wondered whether anyone else on here is gonna be there? |
