just thought id share somthing that annoyed me the other day with you....
yesterday i went to birmingham, uk, (the place where i live) to do some shopping with my girlfriend. and during this shopping trip i was forced into fasionable high street retailer, Urban Outfitters, who seem to sell very over priced 'indie' clothes. and to my suprise, as i entered the door, on the front table, there was a pile T shirts with the Hi How Are You album cover design on. i picked it up and had a look, and it was being sold for 38pounds!!! i was kind of appauled. the though of fasionable indie kids walking around wearing the Hi How Are you shirt without acctualy knowing anything about the Artist or the album itself seems annoying to me.
i assume Daniel sold the design to the High street chain for a bit of extra money, which is fair enough i gues, if thats the case. but i orderd mine for about 15Pounds from the daniel johnston website, seems crazy that the same pattern would be priced so high just becuase it has a trendy label on it!
Sorry for spurting that out for you to read
but what does anyone else think about it? _________________ http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3006/2501926108_65f54395f7.jpg?v=0

38 pounds for a shirt is just crazy, even for a hi how are you shirt
It should be sold with a "hi, i'm broke now" shirt i guess. _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

On my first week at university I ran into a guy wearing a DJ shirt. I enthusiastically stopped him and asked him about it.
He hadn't even heard of Daniel Johnston. I was pretty freaked out. _________________ Life is too short to refrain from eating jam out of the jar |

i bought my t-shirt at atp. i remember seeing a middle-aged guy buy one at the same time. two weeks later i'm wearing my t-shirt in edinburgh, and i see the same guy! he didn't recognise me, he was just staring at my chest. that was cool! |
