I bought this recently at a gig. It comes packaged like a 7" but is really a CD and has a cool booklet of drawings and stuff with it.
The tracklisting is:
1. Not done hugging (short)
2. New eltro
3. David K. (eltro)
4. Beats
5. Wait it out (eltro)
6. Drink the wine (tex-mex)
7. New years day
8. The old hippie
9. Blood diamond (eltro)
10. The American blanket
11. Fell in love again
12. David K (remix)
Incidentally, does anyone know the significance of 'Lvov'? I know it's the name of a city in Ukraine, and also an alias once used by Trotsky - but what has any of that got to do with Jack? _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |

I'm guessing because of jack's support of socialist ideals. Hell, I don't know either. I'll be buying it when the JLB is in town on the 1st. |

I thought it was a reference to Prince L'vov (as in "Price L'vov writes his notes") who briefly headed the provisional government in Russia following the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II. I am a history student though. _________________ Life is too short to refrain from eating jam out of the jar |

I've got a lot of conflicted feelings about Digital Lvov,
for one thing it's an experimental lo-fi electronic record.
I've been listening to a few dancey electro bands and was inspired by the Garage band program to try it our.
It's really fun to make these songs, but I'm not sure if I should sell it to people or not.
I want people to hear it, but ... I don't know.
That Lvov discussion is interesting.
I think I might use it for my Portland band name (Lvov is TWGIR)
I'm getting tired of using my name and somethign else
(I.E. Jack Lewis and the Woodgrain) |
