This is a nice antifolk song only it does not describe the Jeffrey we all know and love. The guy who wrote it is a sad case and my friend said "leave him alone" because he's already so far down. But I couldn't resist posting my defense of Jeffrey in the comments and I hope everyone here to will do the same.

| Oh I dunno. I recognise something of the Jeffrey *I* love in this song. That searching and yearning for some kind of truth and personal fulfilment. I think Jeff appeals to the depressive in *me*, actually. |

You know for months Ive been on here commenting on people's insincere attempts at making something people want to see...and what i have noticed is that very few people can understand what creative criticism is.I was trilled to hear that you listened to the entire song and that there was something you felt it lacked..but more importantly that you had the balls to tell me.When I started the song i was trying to avoid the obvious things about him.I wanted something very introspective and I tried to seek possibly the hardship that was going on with him. myself...and anyone who is trying to make it to the top and feels a little under appreciated....or lost.Its very hard to watch untalented people like will smith,the black eyed peas,and britney spears make so much money with their empty ideas..while people like jeffrey dont get radio air play and mtv support.I agree maybe if I was singing about jeffrey I could have been more acuarate about who he is...but I was interested in him as a metaphor for other brilliant people who after all the bells and whistles never become huge stars or millionaires .They simply retreat back to square one ..suburbia and the comfort of family.The song is also about traveling and seeking something from the world and when returning home there isnt a home anymore and losing all beliefs.All of my folk songs are apathetic
in feel and even my electronic is meant just to stare at the screen and drift off..
