That was the show I was at that I have yet to post about. My mum keeps talking about this camera shot where she looked incredibly gormless. I'm sure it's been edited out. _________________ Life is too short to refrain from eating jam out of the jar |

Um, if you followed Nick's advice you'd have missed it by a coupla hours!
Not sure it was worth staying in for. The reporter guy that was interviewing him was a bit of an oaf and I kinda resent the "America's best kept secret" comment. Oh, and if the longhaired dude at the Brighton show was one of us on here, then shame on you. Us. Whatever.
More interesting was Adam Green playing live in the studio and being described as having a fanatical audience in the UK. More so than Jeff? Dunno. |

Hey sorry if i got the time wrong, i recorded it cos i was out, it was cool to see jeff getting that kind of publicity and that the guys initial perception was turned around but generally there was a feel to the whole piece that I didn't like and I'm not really sure what, i think it was almost patronizing, what do you think? - I thought the same thing about Adams 'fanatical' fans - and it was cool to see him play on there but I didn't think much of the song he played _________________

Not sure, have to check if its on their online player, or if someone puts it on youtube,
I was just watching it again and I noticed Rhiannon in the crowd in front of the stage!! _________________

The interviewer was unbelivably patronising. I can't imagine watching this as a non-fan and wanting to know more about Jeff as a result. It never gave any impression of how funny and clever Jeff's songs are. What a waste. I'm pretty sure you can get it on bbc i player for the next week (if you're in the UK) |

If anybpdy's absolutely desperate, I can burn it to DVD - although I'm not sure it's worth it. |

'The Culture Show' is what passes for mainstream arts coverage on the BBC nowadays, and it's pathetic. Dumbing down in action!
There's no attempt to engage or really think about any of the subjects, everything has to be simplified and packaged in a neat five minute segment. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |

Wow. That was weird and bad, but still...Jeffrey Lewis on television. That is something you don't see in the U.S. _________________ "It's all easier said than done and it's not even easy to say." |

I watched it and agree that it totally missed the point, but I was so happy to see him on TV for once, there's never anything like that on.
