I just got in from seeing Juno.
First time being at the cinema in so long, I found it quite weird. The sticky floors, rude people, adverts...

But it was completely worth it. The film was brilliant. It was so surreal hearing all this music I've adored for years in that kind of environment.
Aside from the music, the whole film was wonderful. Smile

Great idea Dav, I love the cinema

last film I saw was Sweeney Todd. there were a couple of songs in the middle that were a little tedious but on the whole I enjoyed it

Dav, I'm sorry dude, I saw Cloverfield the other day and didn't really like it, I went with a couple of mates and all of us felt motion sickness after watching the jerky hand held footage for 80 minutes. I found the whole thing very hokey.

No problem Nick, it really is the kind of film you love or hate i think.

I Watched into the wild yesterday, was really good, like Jeff's european diary but into the wild nature, with no money...
I also enjoyed 30 days of night a lot, a vampire story taking place in alaska, where the night last 30 days, muhahaha!

I saw Juno yesterday. I liked it mostly, and there were some scenes that were very very funny. But it lost at the end, and degenerated into sentimentality like it was always going to. The distinctive language also seemed to disappear, like the scriptwriter just forgot about it.

It was certainly odd to hear Kimya Dawson and Belle and Sebastian in a crowded multiplex.

Last week I also saw a Russian film called 'The Italian', which was about a kid in a grim orphanage in Russia. An Italian couple were going to adopt him (pretty much by going in and deciding to buy the cutest kid they saw). But he didn't want to go Italy, and instead ran away to try and find his real mother who had given him up. The plot was full of holes, but it carried me along and I didn't really mind; it was very powerful and excellently acted.

I've seen that movie approximately 3 KAJILLION times, but I would still see it again and then proceed to watch the sequel.

I just saw this really old movie with John Barrymore (Drew's Grandfather). He's a genius. Twentieth Century was it's name. Made in 1934, his performance is hilarious and really reminiscent of Gene Wilder.

Me and my friends would have days where we did this. About once a month for a year.
