Hi All,
Jeffrey just finished a chapter on Tuli Kupferberg of the Fugs for Paul Buhle's soon to be published anthology of cartoon bios of the beats. In this photo taken last week, 9/07, together with Helen Schreiner, he shows Tuli the work.

That's so nice.
I've been getting really into the Fugs lately. I need to find more! _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Thanks Thelma. I already have The First Album and Electromagnetic Steamboat (a big collection of the Reprise LPs). It's all so great.
Next on my list are the Holy Modal Rounders. Have you seen anything about the movie? It looks really good. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

I saw the movie. It tells their whole story. You get to meet Steve Weber who is currently hiding . |

Really? Wow. All I've seen is the trailer. He seems like a charcter.
For anyone who doesn't know what we're talking about: http://youtube.com/watch?v=osRM14sBZuY
Do the Rounders have many albums? I know Peter Stampfel has a load of solo stuff as well.
I managed to find one record shop with that kind of stuff, so I'll have a look in the next couple of weeks. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Responding the the thoughts about the Holy Modal Rounders, yes you must see the documentary Bound to Lose!! See the trailer on Youtube here -

In my opinion the best Holy Modal Rounders albums to start with are -
the first one (self titled),
Have Moicy! (a collaboration of Peter Stampfel, Michael Hurley and others),
and Alleged in Their Own Time.
Also the 2 weird albums Indian War Whoop, and Moray Eels Eat the Holy Modal Rounders... these are the 2 most famous albums.

Cheers Jeff. I'll be having a hunt in Brighton tomorrow. Don't think I'll have so much luck though. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |
