We all seem to mention them, so I thought I'd give them their own topic.

To me, they're probably the best band in Britain at the moment (them or Misty's Big Adventure). David's lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard.
When I first heard their stuff, I wasn't really sure what to think. He always sounds so sincere with everything he says, but there is constantly this wonderful humour that makes me laugh pretty much every time I listen to them. Last time I saw them play, I had a huge grin for the whole show, partly the incredible lyrics and partly the amazing guitar work.

So, who else loves them?

I just got the album of them covering Andre, the one Andre and David (of the Wave Pictures) recorded together, and The Hawaiian Open Mic Night album.
Very Happy

The last one especially is amazing, but they are all great.
I can send some or upload or whatever if you want.

This band is amaaaazzing! Love their sound, his voice and the way he plays the guitar! The best brit band at the moment...easily..and no contest! It's a shame tho, that everytime i talk about them with english peeps, it seems that they've never heard of them and they have no idea who this band is.... Confused weird, you tell me? iiii know...as the band nearly only plays in london and somewhere around! Last time, a virtual friend of mine saw them( thanks to? to me, heehhe) in Brighton or Brixton, don't remember.....probably Brixton... anyway, he told me that there was hardly anybody at the show...quite sad, huh?!
I can't wait to see them on stage...next month, yayyyyy!! Very Happy

Of course Ema. Smile

And they aren't well known AT ALL over here. I saw them play in the cellar of a vegan food cafe and they were still the support act!

I'd say that they are by far the best British band at the moment. Them or Misty's Big Adventure.

That's a shame!!!
Do you think i should recommend them to a girl i know who works for the NME ?
you know that i kinda hate the NME, that's why i've never talk about them with her, because, honestly, i don't wanna see them on the front page of that shit in three months ...and then, tree months later, seeing that this very same paper is very critical towards them, sayin' that's a load of rubbish, shattering, panning them, ect....plus, she's a bitch, she thinks she's God 's gift.....she would probably tell me that they're not her cup of tea or they're not good looking enough anyway.....well, you see what i mean...but i know how they work...she usually listens to the new bands at work ....claiming how she fancies this band..."blah blah blah, we should definitely go to their next gig, don't you think, daaarling?" Rolling Eyes .....but it could be a springboard for them...a quite bad tho, me think!

Yeah, Ema, don't bother. As much as I want them to be successful and continue to record amazing music, I don't want the NME getting their paws on them.
A great indie magazing Plan B loves them, so all is good. Smile

Some lyrics for Dav and Ema:

Your Heart is on Your Sleeve

Well the cat is in amongst the pigeons
And the pigeons are in the pie
And the pie is on the kitchn table
And nobody at all is eating
And the apple is in my eye
And my eye is somewhere else
And my lips are shaped to bit a lie (???)
And the snake is in the grass

And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
You heart is on your sleeve
And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
Time for me to leave, time for me to leave

The snake he sees the apple
And the snake he knows my eye
And the cat, he sees the the pigeons
But he doesn't see the pie
That nobody at all is eating
No, the knives are on the table
The cards are in my pocket
And your heart is on your sleeve

And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
You heart is on your sleeve
And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
Time for me to leave, time for me to leave

(GUITARRRR!)

The mule (i think) was in the corn
In the hour that I was born
And the bull's been in the china shop
Ever since my voice dropped
Goodbyyyyye
I'm leaving here tomorrow
It's easier than just waiting around to lie

And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
You heart is on your sleeve
And your heart is on your sleeve
Your heart is on your sleeve
And it's time for me to leave
Time for me to leave, time for me to leave
