Wave Pictures tabs
Dust off your heart (for moe):
Verse:
G
G-------------------Em
The Magnificent 7
G---------------------
Rode a pickup truck
Em--------------------
All the way to heaven
G--------------------------
And what they found
--------Em---
Was a hole, in the ground
----------------C---
A bucket, a spade
-------------------------------D
One fluffy white cloud
Chorus:
G-----------------------------------------Em
And the mythical, fragile woman
C-----------------------------------------D-
Sat down at the table, and she said
G--------------------------------------Em
"First burn down the school and then
C-------------------------------D
Burn down the cathedral"
C---------------------------
And when you're done
C--D-----------
Go find yourself someone
D---C-----------
To have to hold, to want to need to love
D-----------------------
Who will dust off your heart?
And that is it. If recording this, I usually wouldn't bother with a bass, just have 2 lead parts, like on this version. Just improvise around G. Pretty much everything sounds lovely.
Oh, and it's the same for the Wave Pictures album version too. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic

The whole of 'Sophie' is slightly downtuned, so it's pretty hard to work out. Soon I'll just downtune and work it all out. Here's what I have:
Long Island
(piano chords)
G---------C--C------C----C-----Em-----C-----G
G-------------C--C-----G------C----C-----Em-------------C--------G
I met you on the tube, and you were beautiful in lubricants
G-----------------C----C-------G-------C-------C-------Em-------------C---C------G
With the boy, who drank soup, straight from the urn, and burned his tongue.
-----------------G---------------------
Now that you know how it feels
---------C----C---------G-----
You know how it feels
--------C--C-----Em----C--C-----G
To build your nest in bucket deals
--------------G---------------
And there are three floors
C------C--G
Three djs
------------C---C-----Em
And I pinned you down
-------C--C-----G
In an easy frame _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic

Close, it's:
G C D C Bm Am
I can't remember the chorus part though, I think yours could be right. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

I do indeed.
They will be here before the night is out.
Any others you'd like? _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

While I'm at it:
Jimmy Reed
(slightly downtuned)
Intro: Em
Verse:
Em-G--------C-
I stole the train
----Bm----------
Out of your dream
Em---G----------------C
Now, you are full of bitter
B
Things
Every verse does the same chords (Em, G, C, B), even the last one, where the rhythm is different ("your childish brother's childish threats...)
Pre chorus:
Am ---- Em
Am ---- B
Chorus ("I said yeah")
Em----Am
Second chorus part ("baby you don't have to...):
G (I think)
Then back to the Em---Am
That's about it. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Furnish me with childhood glee
Walk me, hold me, take me to the
American embassy and get me
Signed up and delivered, we'll have
A brand new passport photo
From a brand new passport picture booth
The film of teeth and hair and eyes
And I smile in the flashbulb, in the flashbulb
In the flashbulb of fall in (or fallen) love, hope
Hope is the thing with feathers
Butterflies, flutter by my window side
It's over, it's over forever
Or at least until the morning and I shot you
I shot straight at your heart
But the gun was the type with the little flag
That pops out.
That pops out
That pops out
With the word the word "bang!" written on it
I watched you from a distance
I built myself a day
Just for waiting
Just to hear you say:
"Yes.
I will come back to the house tonight.
Yes.
I will come back to the house tonight.
And I have just returned
From a thousand year time trip
And I'll tell you what I saw, I saw
Children holding hands
Children kissing in the park, and after dark
Spinning, spinning, spinning
And in everything an ice cold whiskey
And everybody lives forever
Everybody lives together in Joe's Lunch Room
Because I'm swimming,
I'm swimming in a river of love
And I'm pissing
I'm pissing in my swimming trunks
I can only guess,
How it feels to be adored
Sloop John B
Watching you glistening
High up, on the diving board
Sloop. Sloop.
I watched you from a distance
I built myself a day
Just for waiting
Just to hear you say:
"Yes.
I will come back to the house tonight.
Yes.
I will come back to the house tonight.
Yes, yes, yes
I will come back to the house tonight. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |
