I've been listening to Eddie Cochran. It's phenomenal, those 50s rock'n'roll stars really knew what they were doing. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |

'Setting Sun' by Turner Cody (not of course to be confused with the Chemical Brothers track of the same name). It's a really beautiful song, but there's something indefinably disturbing about it as well. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |

The Hold Steady - How a resurrection really feels.
and some vintage Girls vs Boys because I'm seeing them in Paris next month! I haven't seen them live since 2002 or 2003 when they opened for Interpol...

HA HA. I feel your pain. Over Christmas, I was at my grandparents' and my grandfather watched some Antique Roadshow with some Welsh kids I think. He's almost deaf so he puts the telly on REALLY LOUD and there wasn't a room in the house where I couldn't hear it... I would've gone out to escape it but it was late & freezing. Besides, there's not much to do in Torquay (devon) at night during the christmas break... |

Dramarama - Anything, Anything (I'll Give You) <--this is ancient!
Someone I like did a live cover of that song & I wanted to hear the original.
I think I like the cover better! |

A minute ago I heard a gory song called Knoxville Girl on the radio about killing a girl and going to jail for it. It was Will Oldham. Bonnie Prince Billy strikes again. |

I love Woody Guthrie, for the music and the politics - and writing 'this machine kills fascists' on his guitar is about the coolest thing anyone has ever done. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |
