The Complete History of Communism - Part 1
Marx and the writing of the Manifesto
For the past hundred and fifty years, from the west to the east
communism has been a controversial new concept to say the least
It’s a big story of big ideas and big events
even condensed its really quite dense so I hope this makes sense
It’s no secret that human history has been full of oppression
Some even say ‘kill or be killed’ competition is our natural condition
But some have said it’s possible to share the world because humans are smart
but no one ever quite explained the problems or solutions quite the same as Karl Marx
Marx studied law and philosophy and in the 1840s in Paris
he met Friedrich Engels and they wrote the communist manifesto, which says this:
When society is divided between a few ‘haves’ and ‘have not’ masses
the ‘have nots’ have the numbers, so they can kick the ‘haves’ asses
But no matter who is on top the oppression cycle will start again
until there’s no more top or bottom and then the oppression cycle will end
Remember this is the 1800s, the end of kings ruling the land
and Marx saw the new capitalist business class now had the upper hand
But he saw to exist, the capitalist workers paid less than what they produced
for example, shoe factory workers cant afford to buy the shoes
And more and more products and less people who can afford to buy them
and more wars over resources so capitalism can survive
So the manifesto blew a lot of people’s minds, at first it was just a theory
but then the Paris Commune of 1871 first made communism a reality _________________ http://www.myspace.com/puzzletown
